Don’t care if new or used , it’s ridiculous as far as machinery
Inputs are ridiculous as well given 90% of yields is western Canada

But apparently absolutely no one give an absolute shite

Big companies have it figured out. They just lay everyone off for a couple of years till we wear enough equipment out that we will pay any amount. Look at Deere and Brandt. They have no plans of reducing prices.

Inputs and machinery spending will be down in '25. Thinking of dropping canola and sitting on a bit of inventory. Wheat and barley with reduced fertilizer. I am happier with 12% pro wheat than 16%. Did not waste fertilizer $ on worthless grain protein. May summerfallow some for oats in 26. Oat straw worth a bit around here as feed.

We had the same crop prices 10 years ago , this is a major issue

I have an inside on some actual industry metrics. If my actual cost of machinery per acre is well below the average or so I'm told, then the average is in for an education.

Poor 1/4 we put up hay up on a few years ago cause grains guy never got crop in sold for $ 300000.00 last month. Maybe a so so pasture 1/4. If you are thinking of jumping ship now is likely a good time to do it.
