Wettest fall in a lot of years here around 125 mm since Aug 1 another inch potentially Tues wed. Haven't got 2nd cut hay down yet had one window but were focusing on the cereals. Haven't been anywhere to see what's left some irrigated cereals still out for sure but mostly canola.

Getting absolutely hammered here. Most thunder and lightning I’ve seen in several years. Cringe to think how flat my barley might be. Lots of acres to go here. Lots just got going to half done. Rest of harvest will be a slog.

8/10 so far over the last 2 days and still raining lightly here in Central Alberta roughly half way between Calgary and Edmonton. Watching Calgary news last night they said 2 inches at supper time and it was still raining.Originally posted by furrowtickler View PostLooks to be very wet in southern Alberta? 1/10" N of Wadena. Missed this one so far. Most about half done, oats and canola left.
Poorer crops are where 4" rain /hail happened early June. Also places where rains missed and too dry, lots of variations in a few miles. Rain can TAKE or MAKE grain, all about timing.
