Got 1 inch won't help the crop but my yard and trees truly appreciate it. Some cereals and canary pummeled.

Mother Nature wasn’t kind last night, 7/10” to 2” of rain last night along with hurricane winds. Twisted up our flax and wheat fields, will make harvest more difficult and a lot slower. Hopeful to start preharvest spraying early next week on the early seeded wheat, will have to add at least another week onto the fields that were twisted up.

Every year we see pictures of soybeans early in the season from somewhere in the world looking awful. Then at the end of the season, the disaster is inevitably averted.
There seems to be a lot of truth to the wisdom that soybeans are made in August ( or the equivalent in the southern hemisphere or double crop).
I only wish the crops we grow could make a recovery like that after being drowned out.
