Corn price collapse: USDA projected 91.5 million acres vs average trade guess of 90.35 million acres. Put options have exploded in-value.

U.S. soybean new crop exports (on the books) currently only about 3% of expected production. This can change quickly, but buyer demand is a key problem impacting export movement.

Mother nature is starting to cut production in this area and in the northern states. Drowned out spots are getting bigger and yellow fields are showing stress with disease to follow. Not all fields have a bumper crop now like the rain makes grain saga. Warm normal temps put off for another week we are told . Debates take airtime over crop production at this time.

Volatility is now the norm, markets overshoot in both directions. Go long when there is blood in the streets. The little bit left in the bins is staying there until I know this crop is gonna make it, local weather station is currently 1C, June 29, like wtf. When the falling knife hits the floor gonna have to blow the cobwebs off the ole futures account and snatch up some calls.

Soybeans, corn, wheat and canola plunging into the heart of the incoming July weather season is unusual. Technically, these markets are screaming oversold. Fundamentally, demand is king.

My two-bits on the canola market right now. November major support at $600/MT tested this past week. Resistance seen at $640/MT.
