Very informative report worth the read. Went to Winnipeg after spraying a couple of tankfulls in the morn. Was surprised how many unseeded fields there was between Portage and North side of Peg. Got another 1/2 inch last night hope my corn I reseeded doesn't get drowned out too. Our weather reporter for radio stations lives in Winkler so if crop is in around the radius of 10 miles the rest of the province is OK

Canola being seeded last few days . Some may never get in. Soybeans have mostly survived flooding. Wheat has taken a beating. Passing showers continue. Land that was super dry last year has done the best. Fungicides not used the last few years, will be needed this year.

I am getting flooded out right now here east of Edmonton again. Rather lose the crop to drought than flooding as there is much less mess. After flooding (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020) and drought (2021) coverage levels need to be rebuilt. Had a good canola crop in 2023, but due to the one year lag, it is not included in the coverage levels for this year. Will need dry carryout canola to blend off the tough, green, frozen shit from this year that was seeded in June to make it marketable. Good thing I have some of that.Originally posted by Dr Tone View PostAfter 8 years of mud and crop insurance claims, the last 2 years of drought were amazing. But we are back in the mud and crop insurance claims. Good things don't last with Mother Nature. 9 inches since mid May.

Was supposed to get to 20 c today , barely above 12c again
can’t afford to miss too many more days of sun or even normal temps during the longest days of the growing season
