    Let this sink in.

The employment income graph for Canada had public servants paid the highest, private business mid, and self employed lowest.

The capital gains tax is a disincentive to capital investment in Canada, but as a target it hits agriculture hardest for obvious reasons.

Chuck would just say that before the changes those in the top tax bracket were unfairly subsidized.

JT has doubled the size of the federal workforce. Look at the proportion of your Fed taxes vs your Prov taxes, Fed’s share is much higher but what services is the federal govt providing vs the province.
Anyone with a brain can see we need to kickstart productivity in this country but this govt is holding everything back and spending like crazy, absolute insanity.
Maybe the budget won’t pass but I am sure Jag is negotiating his personal enrichment right now and will vote for it when ready.

Actually there was a fellow on X doing the same. @Coryjudson bio says he's a president of Brantford & District Labour Council, and his workers work for private businesses and entrepreneurs who may time seek a more favourable location to build next go around.
Amazing, tho, zero pushback from Ag despite the fact that the most capital-intensive industry, high risk industry in Canada will be hit the hardest.

Government jobs create zero wealth , it’s simply a transfer of money

When you have so called lobbyists ( eg Dave Carey ) patting himself on the back for being awarded one of the top lobbyists in Ottawa and this kind of sh$t happens, you know farmers do not have an effective lobby. WTF do these guys do all day long, and surely some of the conservatives were at committee meetings where this came up. While there were rumblings of a change, why wasn't the farm friendly conservatives ringing the alarm bells?

FFS both David Dodge and John Manley both criticized this change to capital gains. Manley made mention they reduced it and actually collected more because people could see a path forward at the 50% inclusion rate level.

Agriculture is an easy target, they are no real farmers in the conservative benches in Ottawa. Chances are most of them have on their resume - "I came from a farm, or my uncles and cousins farm". Not really close enough to understand the impact of measures like this because most were gifted what they have and that's why they have time to DF in Ottawa.

Well the Freeland family farm liquidated and sold out a year or two ago, so they saved a lot of money from excess tax.

Everybody is just trying to get to an election and hope we can change this course. Pushback means nothing to Trudeau, waste of time.

Harper himself said yesterday that it will be very difficult for PP to turn this ship around. Totally agree. I expect a sovereign debt crisis at sometime in the near future and crack up of the country.
