    Barley Adjustment Factors

    Charlie and Lee;

    I see the adjustment factor on FPC for feed barley is -$7.50/t and
    2row malt -$9.75/t

    How on earth can this be justified?

    I thought the CWB was supposed to be drawing in supply... not discouraging it!

    Then there is the mother of all malt trucking premiums being paid right now... by some grain co.s...

    How many have been told about this... is this through CWB tendering money?

    What is this all about?

      The adjustment factors basically disappeared for malt barley (now 75 cents/tonne). No explanation. Will have to get other help.

        I note the comment on monster trucking premiums with the grain companies. Is the malt barley for export or are they sourcing for the domestic maltsters? What are people's experiences in dealing with the maltsters directly?

          I'll note Charlie posted this after a phone rant from a disgrunted (and stuck with a tough decision) from a malt grower who shall remain nameless.Or not
