    Wheat and Barley to CWB

    Incognito;

    I was just thinking:

    How much Wheat and Barley for the human consumption market does the CWB have tied up now... 75% of 2006 production?

    So if marketing choice were to happen tommorrow... virtually nothing would change for most farmers.

    What is your thought?

    no one can answer that question Tom but the CWB.

    transparency is a real issue for the Americans and should be for farmers in western Canada too.

      When you say tied up, what do you mean? Priced? Supply contracts?

        Charlie,

        Supply Contracts and pricing contracts both.

        With space so short, many people shipped 20% of their wheat to the CWB, and this effectively ties up 100% of the wheat they grew.
