Lee or Charlie, does anyone have facts on the energy gain or loss with ethanol production. I have seen studies cited that claim an increase of 50% energy to a decrease of 45% energy with ethanol production. The relevant energy input would be limited to the fuel and fertilizer to grow and truck the crop as well as the energy used in the distillation process. The solar energy harvested should be free because we get it anyways. Any facts out there???
