CAIS To Be Scrapped By Conservatives

Conservatives to axe CAIS and replace with a new progrm as well as new emergency funding. That is if they are elected.

It seems the Conservatives support marketing boards, according to their Ag Policy, but not the CWB. Very interesting that they care about eastern farmers , who are very vocal in support of orderly marketing, where they need votes but not in Western Canada where they beleive they already have their votes locked up. I guess nothing changes , politicians of any stripe will say what need to to get elected.

On Conservative policy the Montreal 2005 spring convention clearly was a democratic exercise... not what a specific person like Mr. Harper wanted.

Delegates from across Canada made policy decisions... certainly the CWB has Full Conservative support... on a voluntary basis. 288 Federal MP's voted in favour of "orderly marketing" just before parliament was desolved in November 2005.
