    Poor Yields

Did our first fields of wheat and peas. Quality was feed and yields were 15% less than I expected. I heard some lousy yields from the coffee shop too. What are others finding?

South of the bow is spotty good yield lower test weights. East of Calgary some of the best canola yields ever. weights in grains are good and still some #1 wheat coming off.

big yields but horrible quality, in the N.B. Sask area. Very little top grades, and almost everything is tough. Wheat testing 18-22% and grading 3-feed. Rain in the area again last night.

West Edmonton area fields are flat. Talked with two elevator reps - all feed and a handful of 3 so far. Lots of volume and canola crop in good shape if it comes in. Unsettled forecast.

Saw some fairly decent wheat east of Red Deer. Farmer thought it might make a two...I think more like three! Dried grain.
