    Some Beach....

My area received 2 - 3 inches of snow yesterday. Barley is tangled up, Wheat is as flat as a pancake. Luckily I finished swathing the Canola the day before.

Many of the top pods in the Canola have nothing in them due to the frost on Aug 20. Like the Blake Shelton song says Some Beach!

Very hard to tell until the combine gets in there, lord knows when that might be. Alot of the low lying areas the entire plant may be affected other areas the top 4 or 5 pods have nothing in them. Then 2 or 3 pods below that will remain green.

Best guess is anywhere from 10 to 20% drop in production. I hope I am wrong. I am in north east Alberta.
