    Combining In southern AB

I keep reading stories of combining of barley in Southern AB. I know silageing is being done. Does any one know if and combining is being done yet?

Haven't heard about any barley. Is some winter wheat/fall rye coming off as well as early peas.

On Friday, July 30, I drove from Brooks to the Old Man Dam through Enchant and Picture Butte and Nobleford and Granum. I saw lots of barley silage that had been taken off and winter wheat that was either in the swath or standing but ready to be combined. The peas I saw looked to be ready or pretty close but none were being cut.

There has been some yellow peas combined here in South West Sask that were seeded on Stubble and I am hearing of yeilds around 8-15 bushels acre.
