    Alberta moisture update May 29 notes little reserve moisture in the soil, with large areas of the province having 1-in-25 and 1-in-50 year deficits

    Why does wheat keep floating down? Maybe too early in the season for the weather to hit the market?

      Keeping food prices from rising more, keeping inflation at bay, farmers can always take less, right.

      Never forget the U.N. dude, instructing countries to spread out the grain purchases, and not to bid against each other, just to obtain a year ahead supply all at once. "Buy small amounts and spread out the purchases to avoid grain prices from rising too much, when there are world shortages", he said

      F_ _ _ Off U.N.

        There is a point of no return where moisture won't help a crop.

          Yup the vast majority of us actual farmers know and unfortunately have been there . And for most it’s staring them in the face already

            Today on the CBOT ;
            Chicago Jly Wheat traded 90636 contracts
            Minnie Jly Spring Wheat traded 3206

            Soybean Jly traded 135990
            Canola Jly traded 17272

            The funds are trying to protect their shorts .
            They have had a good go if your betting on the down trend.

            I know very little about trading futures but if you thought you could influence the market with big fund dollars is that more likely possible in the smaller volume markets?

            What about the short squeeze?
            Is that a bigger risk?

              I’m not a conspiracy nut but these guys are working together to shit on our time to make some money. Weber would know but they don’t talk much about the 90 day or 45 day wheat supplies much for fear of invoking chaos in people that actually pay attention to things that matter.
              No different than the fire situation going on right now. They never seize an opportunity to stoke the fires of their agenda or quell the potential chaos that could occur if grain prices get out of hand.
