My friend bought a group of heifers over to run bulls with.
Looks great in places but I'm sure we can't go long on the 2 in we have had since the snow left.
Need about 10 in more to make the season.
Nothing worse than feeding cows in peak grazing season.
Hope I can get them all shined up and bred before they go home in hopefully October.

      So far looks great.

And that is why I dont seed lentils anymore. Pity the early rolled land with the lakes now.

Lentils on 10's are comin on strong, with the moisture we have the kinda of strong that canopy early, fall over, get diseased and end up with10bpa. Lentils do best with some dought stress.

Some left over 233p seed from last year seems fine.

That looks like beautiful soil, definitely blessed to farm that.

Certainly odd to read posts complaining about rain. I would say we are in a drought here. Pastures turning brown quickly. Some crops that had a few showers hanging on, others starting to go backwards. Lots of bare hills even on the wheat. No rain in the forecast. Yikes!

Hamloc, SE sask has been inundated with a lot of moisture in the past few months. Couple big wet snowstorms march and late april, couple good shots of rain now during seeding now. Some guys are only 50% done.

Its nice to have moisture to work with but sometimes a mixed blessing too. We dont need rain here for a month now.
