      Hitler had a map very similar to that.
      The war in the Bakans/Yugoslavia seems to be forgotten. Was basicly about old borders and regional differences/ ethnicity/religions.
      Extremely nasty little war. Ethnic cleansing and rap e camps.
      The whole region has fought over borders throughout history.
      Russia is also a bunch of little ethnic regions joined together not that long ago.
      There have always been little private militias like Azov Battalion and PMC Wagner.

      As you say, big mess,no easy answer.

      Canada is insulated from it all. Most have no clue.
