Canola seems slow here too. I have only seen 1 good field that’s cabbaged out and covering the ground nicely and it was seeded relatively early on lighter land. Later seeded seems to be struggling , was too small maybe when we started getting these latest waves of moisture.

True, but two hot days will fry the crop this year around here because there is no soil moisture reserves to draw from and the crop has made its decision already. 5th leaf the yield is set , just to maintain it you need good moisture and weather. While the cooler temperatures are helping , still need moisture to finish.Originally posted by Partners View PostCooler Temps for the longest time if their rite.
Atleast crops will not burn up like last yr..
1 yr ago it was plus 34 today...

Starting fung next week.
By now very sick of babysitting that machine.
Every pothole pumped with expensive pumps full again here. Beavers flooded hundreds of acres cause no one paid enough to look for them.
Canola starting bolt, cereal starting head. Peas very early flower.
Always picking new seed openers in my sleep, usually about 4 am. Every year different and I think we're trying to do too much with them.
Will be some 8-9 out of 10s here if you got your densities and fertility right.
Trying to top dress with urea here officially in the big joke book. More N at seeding the way for now I guess.

Ours are all in the yard but all three are sold plus those trades. Our three headers are on way to dealership so we ordered adaptors for our old 790S for this year now. So the three headers that I'm trading in are also sold and that guy will get soon.
I really don't care if the combines arrive or don't I'm not changing once we start harvesting.

CTV News Wed. evening talked about the flood disaster zone at Kronau so a quick trip was required. The water was run-off generated last week south of Sedley and Francis(5-6 inches) coming down the Wascana. It would have prolly drained to Regina except the source at the scene said Regina had it blocked and the damn was not opened until Wascana had overflowed its banks and hundreds of acres along the ditch were and still are flooded. The Wascana Authority has responsibility of monitoring and controlling the drainage through the Wascana network so how didn’t they anticipate this deluge of water coming down the chain? How many farmers can withstand hundreds of acres lost?

Yup drive ur old combines all fall. Nothing like starting fresh next year with full warranty and doesn’t cost a dime to do it…..Originally posted by SASKFARMER View PostOurs are all in the yard but all three are sold plus those trades.
