For many who were In a Drought now a week of wind a inch or less does piss all.
6 in runs off and fills sloughs.

        Bumpers all over

Canadian oil pipelines , everyday coming from the loading station north or town .
Trucks going in to loading facilities there one after the other .
Oil was going to move regardless, politicians not to smart

When it is dry , the soil almost becomes like a repellant, water beads until the soil it moist to absorb it.

Take a perfectly dry sponge and put a garden hose to it. Wait until its damp and do the same thing.

Same thing will happen with soil.

Big rains mean nothing if they can't soak in.

Checking after some rains here it is very dry 3 inches down. The wind and heat today will dry the top out again.

Dried up enough to go out on the bike and look in a few fields. Stood on a hill and snapped a pic. Canola on one side wheat on the other.
              Everybody knows Rain makes grain!

On the same trip went to check a canola field and thought I better try and drain some water.
