Ag Canada finally updated their drought watch.

    Find here: https://maps.canada.ca/journal/conte...c4098a1c179c2f

Also updated their agroclimate maps through June 7

Both seem very close , we are right on the edge of a train wreck wreck here . Be ok for about 5/6 days then it’s big trouble. Light soils / hilltops here already suffering . Worse just south , better just north of here .
Hanging on by thread for now

Thanks to both of you for posting . Confirms nearly exactly what’s going on in real time here now

Alot around here turned blue and brown and wont even bother heading out. Does rain make something like that regrow? I have a hunch that if we got a swack of moisture the native would likely come back out of dormancy, but the brome/crested/alfalfa?

In 2019 we had 3/10 of rain from April 1st to June 21th. Our entire farm was brown and dead. Then on the 21st we had a beautiful 3" rain and crops and pastures started to regrow/ start to grow. We finished haying around mid sept. Was it a bumper hay crop? No, but it was something like a bale every 1.25 acres.
