Sold Canola for both 28$/bu and 14$/bu…this does not make undeserved profit that needs a 20% surcharge…. Especially when the Fed printing Trillions upon Trillions of $$$… created the increase in evaluations … Now they want to Tax the inflation that has been created by the Quantitative Easing that created the $$$ inflation that are in reality a mirage…

Jagmeet was talking about setting back the capital gains exemption 20 years. So as a farmer , you work your life to build and try to keep up to inflation and guys like that want a piece of it.

Why not tax the shit out of his 2500 dollar suits, rolexes etc. Ignorant.

I won't be surprised to see some sort of Covid-19 Windfall Tax, that if your incomes shows a significant increase since your 2019 taxes, you'll get some surcharge or other.

Too many takers,,, not enough makers!

Is this still the market catching up with the end of the rail strike? Was the canola market lower than the rest of the grains when the threat of the strike was driving the market, now slowly rebounding?
I was expecting basis to do the work, but that didn't seem to be the case locally.

Looks like Flea was onto something building all that storage instead of cashing the cheques.

Canadians are about to be rewarded for their stupidity.

Just wait until people in Toronto and Vancouver go into negative equity. Then you will see the cries for a wealth tax.
