The occupation was ended with relatively few incidents of violence. Protestors that were assaulting police and grabbing weapons were met with force. Mounted police are very effective at moving and dispersing crowds.

In many protests in other countries the water cannons, tear gas, pepper spray and billy clubs get used a whole lot more that they were in Ottawa.

It's unfortunate that some protestors ignored the 2 days of notices that they were part of an illegal occupation and would be arrested if they didn't leave.

Just like bringing kids to an occupation as a human shield, someone assisted an elderly woman in a walker to be part of a illegal occupation? What kind of people put children and the elderly in harms way?

        Hopefully they are okay.

The only illegal “occupation “ was that of the law enforcement egregiously trampling the protestors and breaches of the Charter Rights and Freedoms who were legally protesting on public property on Parliament Hill.

CC… you can chant deceptively till the end of time…

you will never convince freedom loving legally protesting Canadians… from sea to sea to sea…to accept your dreams of PM Trudeau’s woke, lame dictatorship…to voluntarily turn Canadians into subservient Chinese drones.

Peace be with your family… your low grade fascist logic …must to be difficult to tolerate … they have my sympathy.

          Cheers

Occupation and human shield, very cbc-ish words. I don't think the kids would have been brought into this, had the government left them out, but threatening to take them away from the protesters via social services raised the intensity for all involved. I have to hand it to the protestors for keeping their cool, they single handily destroyed what little credibility the cbc had left.

The liberals were asking the impossible, go out and find some violence on the streets, but the cbc learned it's very very difficult to trump peaceful images with incorrect inflammatory words used in our nightly, This is How we Want You to Think Hour.

Most fully developed brains capable of using logic will kick those inflammatory words and their authors to the curb every time.

Earlier today…discussing at our meeting this morning… the the discussion of the confiscation and sales of protestors vehicles to fund Ottawa Cities misguided fantasies of grand fame and global glory…
As well as the illegal release of private citizens banking and personal information… gained by hackers…

Perhaps CBC’s funds of the taxpayers yearly operations 1.5$B should be diverted to pay for this self inflicted Ottawa induced insurrection against our Charter Rights and Freedoms.

CBC is at least partially responsible for the Public Disaster causing a run on our banks and the shortage of Cash… as financial institutions in Canada…had bank accounts cleaned out while Freeland rubbed her hands in glee…

and PM Trudeau smirked and laughed at Canadians who he just finished calling: Nazi sedition laden extremists…

PM Trudeau spewing hate speach using violence inciting treasonous rhetoric… globally reducing Canadians to the bottom of the dumpster of Banana Republics.

After Trudeau passes his nasty bills against free speech he’ll ban cell phone cameras. 👿

Aw, sdg, what's to worry about?

We know we can depend on the CBC to tell us what's happening. Relax...
