Who is really causing the violence. So far today everyone has been arrested peacefully.

Some politicians have some explaining to do.

AND the underlying issues go unresolved.

It is currently a lose lose situation.
Parliament needs to get their shit together.

Don't you find it odd in a time when everyone has a phone glued to their hand, there is no video of what happened in BC?

The police are in force in Ottawa, not taking any crap, but wow just letting those drive away that want to, people can just leave, and arresting those who don't.

A proud day to watch these highly trained professionals do their job.

There was never any doubt this would come to an end. After the first weekend in Ottawa it was blatantly obvious that the city didn't have the resources to deal with it. Ford and trudeau wouldn't man up and say let's get together and solve this. They created one side of the mess and a bunch of malcontents with nothing to do created the other side. I can't imagine anything more boring than sitting there in Ottawa for three weeks. If you have nothing better to do or can't think of a better way to express your viewpoint, you truly need a life. I hope they throw the book at the ringleaders and the Liberals dump trudeau.

Are you living in the same country with the rest of us?

Right wing extremist religion is trying to take over our country?

Is this BS what your job is? Who pays for that?
Not even the LPC is that far out there.

If the liberals don’t dump Trudeau after the protest is cleaned up their party is doomed to a Kim Campbell defeat. Perhaps it’ll happen if he goes and Freeland takes helm. The longer Trudeau stays gives time for conservatives to get their act together and maybe look electable.

Are you sure? I struggle to determine which way it will go. He seems to be a genius at deflecting.

The Conservatives made a fundamental mistake siding with the protest. Will that hurt them more then whatever is thrown to stick at PM Trudeau?

You mean the children used as shields? The images all over live television as parents push their kids ahead of them to the police line?

The stuff Agriville Alumni cheer and approve.

I think maybe very few Canadians are reading stuff that suggests "far right" are about to take over our country but you can tell us how popular it is among your friends and colleagues.

Is there any example of those that don't agree with your views that are considered anything but "far" right?

You can have any view you want, just don't try to take a mob and try to overtake elected officials and create your own government. Like what you have very poorly attempted to do and ended up in arrests.

They request help Federally whose hands are tied as they don't direct not only the police in Ontario - but anywhere. They make laws. That is all they do. Enforcement is the job of Police.

                            3. For the purposes of this Act, a national emergency is an urgent and critical situation of a temporary nature that

                            (a) seriously endangers the lives, health or safety of Canadians and is of such proportions or nature as to exceed the capacity or authority of a province to deal with it, or

                            (b) seriously threatens the ability of the Government of Canada to preserve the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of Canada

A temporary nature - exactly like an illegal occupation with purpose to overthrow the elected government to be put to an end with enough resources and tools and power to get tow trucks and whatever is needed to end it.

The emergency debate in Parliament is merely scripted theatrics. By end of today Ottawa will look very different. Most likely, there will not even be a need to debate as it will all be over and rescinded.

Just Two Weeks to flatten the curve.

I agree, but it's better if Trudeau stays at the helm for a little while yet, in the last few weeks alone he has probably made 60 or 70 liberal MP's unemployed after the next election. Every time he speaks he's a detriment to the liberal party now. I think the Liberal's can't wait for this session to end and have him away from the camera.

Even the cbc is having a hard time finding a news clip of him giving a speech that isn't self destructive for the liberal party.

But the best part is the whole world has seen how low his skill level is at leadership. In a normal world that would make him unemployable.

Having said that, then it's a given he'll be working at the UN, kneeling down with small children and smiling for the cameras.

Meanwhile back in Canada, confused exhausted liberal's will still be wondering why the budget isn't balancing itself. They will blame the Conservatives.
