    5 % inflation rate.

Its really too bad the phucking retards in Ottawa can't get their shit together.

We make gasoline in this country with discounted oil and yet pay more than when oil was $150 a barrel and not one liberaltard can ask questions.

Meanwhile those phuckers are taking next week off. And getting a raise in April.

The bakeries get their flour from Canadian flour mills that are government funded ( P&H got 10million a few years back for their mill in Ontario) The increase in wheat price would only affect the price of a loaf by 3 pennies if that.

No one can correlate raw material to finished product? Wages are not going up to reflect an increase in a loaf. Just another price fixing by the Westons celebrated by the government.

They should use the emergency Measures act to control prices after a serious look at actual cost of goods.

Trudeau wants a socialist/dictator state, why not go all the way and impose price controls?

Just for thought, just pissed today that they will justify this by saying its a global problem.

We have resources in Canada - wood, oil, grain - we should be the lowest cost to build a house, fuel our autos and feed the people in this country, instead they are justifying kicking the shit out of the average household.

US Inflation Rate Accelerates to 7.5%, Highest since 1982
The annual inflation rate in the US accelerated to 7.5% in January of 2022, the highest since February of 1982 and well above market forecasts of 7.3%, as soaring energy costs, labour shortages, and supply disruptions coupled with strong demand weigh.

This reminds me of Canada's history that we took in high school. In the early days of this country it was called Upper and Lower Canada. Of course back then it was all down in the east, and out west it was considered the wild west that consisted of Indians and fur traders.

Now we are still " the wild west" out here , but there are provincial boundaries, and of course a lot of hard working servants out here sending tax money down there to continue the elites lifestyle. Lets face it everyone , out here , we are considered to be nothing but a bunch of country rubes that can do manual labor.

They didn't give a shit about the west 150 + years ago , except to reap all of the benefits of its wealth. Same for today.

      Just my 2 cents.

US and Canada inflation rates are measured differently. If we were doing the same metrics as the US , canada would be higher than US.

Interesting that reap can be rearranged to spell "R A P E "

What are the difference in calculations and what would they be if compared apples to apples?

But the narrative on Agrisilly is inflation is only a problem in Canada.

So I guess we can lay that canard to bed.

So are you saying we should have price controls to keep prices low? That doesn't sound like conservative thinking to me? Sounds more like state intervention in the market.

I guess i wasn't clear, let me try again.

If Trudeau wants a socialist dictatorship then wouldn't it follow he should have price controls as well.

For nations that have no resources like canada I can understand inflation, its like an auction. But for a nation like canada to have resources why gouge the shit of Canadians for the fun of it. And then justify it as a global problem.

                  It shouldn't be Canadians issue.

BTW what ids the price of gasoline in Saudi Arabia?

It’s a problem all over because of the b/s lockdowns in many countries. It’s much higher than 5% IMO in Canada . For farmers it’s 30-40% this past 6 months alone .
