The bakeries get their flour from Canadian flour mills that are government funded ( P&H got 10million a few years back for their mill in Ontario) The increase in wheat price would only affect the price of a loaf by 3 pennies if that.

No one can correlate raw material to finished product? Wages are not going up to reflect an increase in a loaf. Just another price fixing by the Westons celebrated by the government.

They should use the emergency Measures act to control prices after a serious look at actual cost of goods.

This reminds me of Canada's history that we took in high school. In the early days of this country it was called Upper and Lower Canada. Of course back then it was all down in the east, and out west it was considered the wild west that consisted of Indians and fur traders.

Now we are still " the wild west" out here , but there are provincial boundaries, and of course a lot of hard working servants out here sending tax money down there to continue the elites lifestyle. Lets face it everyone , out here , we are considered to be nothing but a bunch of country rubes that can do manual labor.

They didn't give a shit about the west 150 + years ago , except to reap all of the benefits of its wealth. Same for today.

It’s a problem all over because of the b/s lockdowns in many countries. It’s much higher than 5% IMO in Canada . For farmers it’s 30-40% this past 6 months alone .
