He will lead an exodus out of the dept now. Lots of police coerced will resign in solidarity.
His troopers have been fraternizing with the unacceptable fringe for 3 weeks. They know whats happening or not happening there.
Tommorrow you tell them no more mr nice guy. Go bust some heads.
I think a lot are going to use up thier sick days. Or just stand and watch.

Did you see the vidio from Coutts with the RCMP and border guards lined up shaking hands with protesters and getting hugs from the women?

I spoke with as many police as I could at Coutts this weekend. Thanked them for their service and for keeping it peaceful, and offered my support for the position they find themselves in. As were many other people. The same police have been there for days on end, fraternizing with the same people day after day. I doubt many of them could have been convinced to forcefully remove the same people.

No reason to think Ottawa is any different.

emerson is on the way out too.

Its a little bit of a solidarity move with the police, but its also a veiled warning to all that these pinch points can be shut down again.

Is the EMA going to be invoked every couple months? Trudeau got to play that card only once.

Good policy, leave the intolerance and stifling of free speech to the nice folks on the left.

And not just borders, our entire infrastructure is vulnerable. There is no way the authorities could mobilize enough resources to remove blockades at all of them, let alone prevent them in the first place.

Think water treatment plants, refineries, gas plants, food production facilities or warehouses, entire cities, airports, ports, railyards, tourist destinations, power plants.

Would only need to last for a few days per location to exhaust all resources to deal with them. Can they pull all those resources from the border right now to defend other infrastrucure, or stay at high alert?

It would make a mockery of trudeau's emergency act if there is no way ( or no one willing) to enforce it.
