New Crop 22 grain prices...Food Security; and the risk of grain embargoes

Watching the RFD TV Ag news this afternoon...

With the supply chain input issues...drought, substandard South American crops... tight US corn and soy carry over stocks numbers... the chances are diminishing rapidly for a grains prices major break lower for new crop...

Not even considering the Russian Ukrainian conflict... which will have stopped grain shipments according to some sources by Russians blockading Ukrainian ports.

This could make last summer look like a 'walk in the park'...

If it goes haywire... what are the chances... of; US and CDN gov. intervention in commodity markets???

An interesting risk... not often do we wrestle... with that question...

In the category of I may be crazy... but...$21 fall Nexera... $11 wheat... $13.40 yellow peas...

We are now in uncharted territory... Never before have so few been responsible for so much... of our food supply and production...

With wheat in the fall for $11 on todays Fert, Chem, Seed costs it will be a lot cheaper buying the wheat instead of trying to grow it. I wonder if a guy should put his order in now.
