My condolences to you and your mother. Our frail humanity becomes so evident at times like this.
Our prayers and thoughts go out to you, and your family...
May Peace and fellowship bring understanding, wisdom and destiny...
Our lives are like a vapour, a light shining in the universe unbending...
Gods Love, his sacrifice, a promise of eternity unending
As you loved even the least of these, you loved me.

Mallee.
Official hoops are frustrating then add emotion. Sympathies.
Mine was just a first cousin of my Dad's. 86. Parkinson's for many years. But a short story if I may to cheer things up.
His Dad had died while he was quite young. Took over farm to support his Mom and never left till 65.
He worked for me a bit after that.
One day he showed me a newspaper clipping of his bride on her high school graduation day. Carried it in his wallet all those years. A real testimony to who he was. Something I'll never forget as I'm a big softie.

Condolences! Life is beautiful in what it can give
And cold and harsh in what it inevitably takes away
From all of us.

Mallee, you had a beautiful sister. Just to see her in that picture, hugging you….
Cherish each moment, every day, every occasion. We are locked up in isolation with our serious blood disorder, waiting for a stem cell transplant, unable to mingle in fear of any deadly infection, cold, Covid, whatever. Siblings are precious and the big Catholic families of yesteryear are a wonderful gene pool for us. Genetic testing has provided us with two out of five siblings turning out to be 100 percent match donors. Both donors flew back to Canada for the opportunity to be the one we need so desperately. Their stem cells will replace mine and hopefully my body will use them to build a new blood factory. ðŸ‘
The future of medicine appears to be in genetics to cure cancers, to replace defective organs. Someday they’ll just grow what we need, the genetic growers will make man new replacement parts. There is hope and that, we know as farmers, is the reason we go on.Last edited by sumdumguy; Jan 18, 2022, 07:23.
