    Oat seed whoops !

    Starting year on right foot. I got cornflake oats ( steer feed ) so no cleaning . Put in order early for seed and got some but supplier was informed other day that when the big bin was opened for cleaning the bin was COOKING !! Had booked early enough for other backup variety so guess still ok. Guy with big bin not starting year off the way they wanted I,m sure. Check yer bins guys $$$$$$$

      Checked mine a couple days ago... Look pretty much the same as post harvest!

      There's a little mound of snow on the concrete in the middle of the floor, and otherwise there's just barely enough to keep the rodents from advancing to cannibalism. On the upside, I have plenty of "cold-storage" this year

        Went to an auction sale many years ago where the farmer had a bin of feed barley on offer. He opened the door to show a sample and it turned out to be a block of blue mold.

        Seems he forgot to close the hatch after taking the auger down after harvest...
