Amazing that after several decades of global warming we can still set low temp records up here in the great white north.

It’s really cold for Dec yet winter weights just came last week. It’s not normal to have this much cold. Normally don’t see 30 below until the new year.

It was also unusual to get such wet snow earlier on. We had 5” of the wet stuff. Usually it’s sugar until after the new year. Have a feeling spring will come early but we’ll get a late dump to remind us.

CASE: I am impressed that I am in your thoughts over Christmas. It is even more significant given that you think that the weather on your farm is indicative of all global weather. Yes it is cold in western Canada yet in Toronto on Christmas it was plus 7C, way above the long term average of -1C. Or consider that in the southern US it is expected over 200 all time high records will be set during the Christmas season this year.
"In some areas, records have already been broken: Wichita Falls in Texas hit 91F (33C) Friday, and Grandfield, Oklahoma, reached 89F. Both beat their Fourth of July high – back at in the middle of summer. Nor were they alone. “Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City and Tulsa, Oklahoma, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Memphis, Tennessee, all stand to match or top the record high for 25 December this Saturday,” AccuWeather senior meteorologist Brett Anderson said."

Or this news from the Western Australian today: "Perth weather: Christmas Day 2021 the hottest on record with heatwave forecast to continue"

Well you are right about one thing, these current temp records are weather.

Some posters have short memories. November was way above average in much of North America.
