      50 week it is.....maybe

This price rise has completed some objectives. Need new news for direction.
Always wary of the Jan report, for 2022 on the 12th

I had shared a similar chart in an oat thread earlier but wanted to follow up with this. It's a chart of the Commitment of Traders for Soybeans (futures).

The purple bars are the net positions of Commercial traders, the blue represents the net Large Speculator positions while the yellow is the Small Spec net positions (over the past year, 1 bar/week).

The current rally in soybeans (up to $14.15 high today on March Soybeans) highlights the importance of watching what the participants are doing.

Back in mid November, while the prices were putting in harvest lows, the commercials were buying the break aggressively. They actually went net long briefly, a very uncommon occurrence.

Often the COT reports have little to get excited about but when they do have important clues like that, it's worth paying attention to them.

Doe's that chart mean at least 1 more dip than another good bounce ?

That is what I was anticipating.

While the idea has not been invalidated, my conviction is waning.
