    Atypical BSE

    Found in Alberta.

Apparently more info to come tomorrow. So far all I’ve seen is old cow and atypical isn’t a concern as it’s a spontaneous version that just randomly appears.

Can’t imagine prices will skyrocket because of it.

Ah fark. Should have dumped the herd and sold the feed. 9 years of unpaid work and misery to follow?

We as Canadian producers are allowed so many cases over the years …so one would assume it shouldn’t be a big deal.

There is no reason to cover anything up. Last time we suffered through it the end result was nothing once people lost interest in reading about it and seeing that one Holstien cow staggering around on the news.

The Brits ate 200,000 of them and virtualy nobody died.

Anouther government loves it when everyone is scared deal. Maybe they need a replacement right now as most are tiring of the current one.

Media disease. When people don't read the crap anymore it's over

What we have is a "Trudeau Disease" and it is ruining this country. You can't have incompetent people in high paying positions, right from the local level , all the way up to the Federal level.

                  Just my 2 cents worth.

This will be interesting to see if all the extra costs downloaded to ranchers pay off.

No cow can be sold without a CCIA tag.

                    Premise ID number .

Trace back should be known by now with a quick run of the tag and the brand.

Neighbors should be informed by now as well.

Otherwise I would say the system isn't working.

I am not blaming anyone but if the system is in place for these cases ...I think ranchers deserve to know what is going on locally.
