Am I to assume this is a positive basis above Mini nearby futures month [Dec 21]?

virtually all our elevator prices quoted are for 2CWRS 13.5, what spec is this?

    Cheers

Yes, the Mini nearby futures month that most of the buyers are using.

Thanks for pointing out the grade omission.

And how does that compare to basis south of the border? Is this a local market due to the drought, or are futures not keeping up with reality?

What is the clearfield variety to grow? Got phoned to rent a quarter, as the previous renter passed away. Was peas last year. Don't want to take a chance with residual carryover with how dry it was last year. Never seeded any clearfield varieties before, so have no knowledge on them.

                Clearfield Canola might be better!

I believe it was canola the year before. So canola, peas, canola might be asking for sclerotinia, and possibly clubroot issues?

Or close my eyes and plug my nose and take advantage of $23 canola? lol

If it was dry in 2021 then peas wouldn't cause the sclerotinia fungus to multiply... Clubroot resistant varieties should still be available... peas[residue and roots] seem to have a natural beneficial fungicide effect... plus I would apply spring granular EDGE pre-emerge as it also may have further beneficial soil health effect... now another tool to further prevent group 2 resistance.

Strange how for 30 years... using treflan, avadex, and edge... 2 year rotation[Canola wheat]... no blackleg clubroot back then..... didn't show up till GMO hybreds ... just co-incidence??? DYODD. Find out what kind of Canola in 2019 to spray out those possible [RR or Lib] volunteers if at all possible to further lower Back Leg clubroot risks.

                    Cheers
