Grain Cos have been phoning and asking us to put in TPOs, every time this happens futures go up and basis drops further. They know ho to try to get some more cheap grain before it jumps again. Funny how they call just as it breaks resistance levels and goes into a new trading range. Do not sell and hold the line.

Look at the calendar folks, the grain cos are busy banging on the the bins for oats and barley all they are hearing is the sad sound of empty bins. Its October and a long ways till next years crop. The crushers are happy for now grinding up all the $12 stuff contracted last year. Wheat is going to get a reality check the next few weeks. I would be holding tight with any new sales till at least into new year.

Agree, lock the bins and let the grain companies bid it higher.

the other pits are outperforming. Good chance of going for the next resistance at 1117 which almost matches the 2011 high of 1120. That is stiff resistance at 1080. Might take a couple weeks
Graincos buying off the March now. The chart is a continuous nearby.

Not sure if i follow all the reasons or logic why grain companies dont use the closest futures month too make spot purchases.

Or could they be covered in the near future needs and they are trying to get coverage further out at lower future prices knowing that futures will go higher and they will just adjust the basis to incentivize grower selling.

Looking for more info. Last year canola once grain companies started using further out delivery months the top was close
