    New Crop Canola Sales

I'm wondering who's been on the sell side of new crop canola lately. Is it the Canadian farmer?

Small poll: who has made any sales since the second week of June?

    Me: 0%

I was one of those who had sales from last winter for roughly 10% of a good crop on my land just under $12. Bought back a portion of it just as the heat wave started for $18 which included a buy back penalty. In order to prevent loss on both ends I resold those bushels for $20.51 right at the end of August when I had canola in the bin so the final price will be just over $14. Turns out the pre sale was just over a quarter of final production.

Besides JD, Farmers Edge, and other technology information takers

Crop insurance should be the most accurate information available, so they should be giving the sask crop reporters good info

0, still trying to get enough in the yard to cover contracts made earlier.
