Biden Broke Our Deal With the Taliban

WSJ: Mike Pence: Biden Broke Our Deal With the Taliban
It’s a foreign-policy humiliation unlike anything our country has endured since the Iran hostage crisis.

‘The likelihood there’s going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country [of Afghanistan] is highly unlikely,” President Biden confidently proclaimed in July. “There’s going to be no circumstance where you see people being lifted off the roof of an embassy.”

One month later, the scenario Mr. Biden deemed impossible has become a horrifying reality. In recent days, the world has watched panicked civilians cling to U.S. military aircraft in a desperate attempt to escape the chaos unleashed by Mr. Biden’s reckless retreat. American diplomats had to beg our enemies not to storm our embassy in Kabul. Taliban fighters have seized scores of American military vehicles, rifles, artillery, aircraft, helicopters and drones.

The Biden administration’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan is a foreign-policy humiliation unlike anything our country has endured since the Iran hostage crisis.

It has embarrassed America on the world stage, caused allies to doubt our dependability, and emboldened enemies to test our resolve. Worst of all, it has dishonored the memory of the heroic Americans who helped bring terrorists to justice after 9/11, and all who served in Afghanistan over the past 20 years.

In February 2020, the Trump administration reached an agreement that required the Taliban to end all attacks on U.S. military personnel, to refuse terrorists safe harbor, and to negotiate with Afghan leaders on creating a new government. As long as these conditions were met, the U.S. would conduct a gradual and orderly withdrawal of military forces.

And some thought Trump was reckless... instead the mainstream US media proves just how sick they are...

Yes trumps deal failed because he obviously
had no deal As usual. This is what’s playing
Out. If he had a deal wouldn’t this not be happening?

Big Wheel, have you ever made a deal with the Taliban?

There is no political solution to Afghanistan. So after 20 years, the Afghan army was never going to fight the Taliban, support Ashraf, or the people. Corruption and embezzlement with leaders living lavish off the 60 billion while soldiers were unpaid and in squalor.

Afghan troops already knew of Taliban deals when the US pulled out.

5000 troops were leaving while only 2 or 300 a month were joining.

Despite the billions, and the training, the army couldn't fight its way out of a paper bag.

So fine, this is what they want, Sharia Law. All the rich white people know so much better and "blame" Biden just so they can feel better.

No I ve dealt with agristability and crap insurance
Which isn’t as bad but is second!!

But thanks for proving what I said, which is
In your logic it’s blame Biden solely for not being
Able to deal with them but don’t blame trump at all.

The exit strategy was started with trump.

There are reportedly trillions in minerals that the world
Needs from that region, what a dumb thing to do
On both their parts without securing some type
Of non terrorist rule. All the lives lost basically for
What now? Maybe they shouldn’t have been there
In the first place but the fact is they were
And to just give it up this way sounds good maybe
Short term but will be another threat long term.
You can bet Russia China etc will be ruling there
          Indirectly or directly shortly.

Shots of planes loaded with over 600 Afghans heading for America. If you look closely at the passengers there are very few women included. Looks like these “brave” men left their wives and kids to fend for themselves and deal with the Taliban.

US had given them some Blachahawks, C-130's and a variety of support aicraft for a fair little airforce that they are concern the Taliban captured.
Sounds like anything that was flyable ended up in the nearby Stans as the pilots loaded thier families and a few buddies and skeedadled out of country similar to what happened in Vietnam when they didn't have room on the decks of the aircraft carriers for all the choppers coming in with anybody that could fly one away and ditched them in the ocean in those iconic historical images.
Wonder who takes possession of all those aircraft.
              Spoils of war?
Not realy any great amount of raping and pillaging or even looting being reported over there.
Kind of anticlimactic compared to all expectations and initial media hype.
Nothing compared to when the Russians came through Germany into Berlin at the end of WW2 at the end of a war of civilized white Europeans.

Taliban has there own Media outlet (CBC ) that controls news releasing so we won't hear all the happenings. All these planes require regular TLC so lifespan will likely be a little shorter and resale might happen soon. Taliban not big on letting people leave after they get settled in there new digs.
