Listened to Kevin on the Radio yesterday. He has lost it as a valuable reporter. Just cut down guys with contracts, basically said you signed it you honor it, and said lentils and peas have an act of God so that is way better.
If governments help farmers out of contracts that is a form of a subsidy.

This issue should have been dealt with prior to August 1st 2012.

Another highlight of how incompetent Ritz and his apprentices were...sadly the apprentices ended up as MPs or MLAs with high profile jobs in parties.

When you end up asking liberals to fix your incompetence...should they be re-elected..

And what Alberta put out yesterday for ranchers was a kick in the balls...why pat them on the back.

136 million for the cattle industry...they have lost a billion already.

51# barley might be a rare commodity.
Be inaresting to see what malt price gets.
Might get one of those $11.50 bu cheques to hang on the wall.

Just blew the head off the knife trying to scrounge ankle high peas out of the carpet of Russian thistle.

Gobbled a couple stones, broke a few auger fingers, dented the auger drum.

Been pushing dirt as I'm scraping the ground with the cutter bar rolled ahead trying to salvage this abomination. I've got one cutting height this year on all crops... On the deck!

Will patch it back together tomorrow am.

I cant wait for the snow to fly and I can put this shit harvest behind me.

Our peas are all single digits. 2 if you count the number behind the decimal point.

One report of 21bu greens. Another of 15bu yellows. Everything else I've heard is sub 10.

A few getting going on lentils. Hearing mid-teens. Some lentil fields being written off. Even they couldn't put anything in the pod.

Canola is horrid. A few crops of yellow mustard that are decent from the road.

Theres hardly a stubble cereal crop worthy of a combine, but guys will whack off what they can as you cant bale wheat/durum that's just past your ankle.

Green Canola is in great peril as surrounding cereals ripen and lentils are harvested and hoppers move to greener pastures. Farmers here have little choice but to hire a plane to save what’s there.

Nice Barley that might be some of the best I have seen so far this year. Were probably going to go today and get a bin or two done. The stuff I did Wednesday the green kernels were gone in 3 days under aeration.

Partners, that’s quite the stubble! Can youimagine what that would have yielded with about three shots of rain. What drill do you seed with?

                        BG 8810
10 inch space, 3 inch openers.
                        Has the HD packers.
130 lbs was the seeding rate.
                        Yes solid stubble
Sure can tell where we ridged the field in the winter around the yard and caught 3 ft of snow.
Yield gets less as we go away from that.
This field got 6.9 inches of rain..
Rest of bly was 4.5 inches so see what that does..

I see the juvenile brains are workin overtime this morning coming up with their school yard quality insults.

Wiseguy finally graduated from telling me to go away and is now forming a sentence or two all at once! Some notable progress after a few months of trying hard. Congrats!

But I don't think the words wise, guy, and weber should appear in the same sentence or the same post.

Send us some of your lovely crop and pasture photos so we can ooh and ahh some more.
