I dont think forage realized that MB takes the equivalent of Kennys keystone subsidy in equalization every yr.

Its pretty rich to criticize an investment in their main industry. I think Mb has put a few bucks into hydro boondoggles too.

Sure as hell beats flushing $500B down a black hole like Trudeau just did and created nothing from it. had he put that $500B into the US stock market, Canada would be debt free today.

Thought your on holidays? Rather then spending time with the family you post on Agriville.

Funny how you spun Kenny's $1.3 BILLION major F uck up to Manitoba's equalization subsidy. When Manitoba gets the payment they us it for various things. What exactly did Albertan's get from the $1.3 BILLION Kenny rolled the dice on?

Yes, Bi-pole 3 was vastly over budget, but Manitoba Hydro is selling power down this line to Minn. which is generating a return on investment. What return on investment are Albertan's getting on their $1.3 BILLION dollars? In fact Manitoba Hydro sells electricity to Sask every day of the year.

I give you credit, at least you come on here trying to defend Kenny and his Keystone attempt.

The rest of the Alberta posters who are yelling separation have faded in the shadows as usual. Lots of talk, but once they realize Numbnuts Kenny who they voted for, couldn't possibly have the brains to lead the province into independence, the Sheepies are silent.

And of coarse you have to agree with Kenny's wasted attempt on Keystone, your long on oil.

      Enjoy your holiday!

Absolutely nothing. A confirmed career politician, no one does, or ever did expect anything different.
But it sure is interesting, and not at all surprising that the members on the left all brought him up, as if one person alone is to be our saviour.
Why it is not surprising, is that the cult of personality is a fixture of the left, and all socialist/communist movements. Not ideals, or policies or economics, just present a pretty face with a recognizable name, put them up on a pedestal and have the media convince everyone they need to worship them, and you get Trudeau, Mao, Chavez, Lenin, Castro, Guevara etc.

Substitutes for god in many cases.

I will take Premier Kenny any day of the week, and twice on Sunday over Notley. Perhaps we should fill the pipe with fresh water from rivers that flow into the Arctic... and get our money back that way. Drop off a little into Southern AB on the way! Maybe that would slow down the oceans rising and shut up the enviroterrorists while making California/Nevada [Lake Mead 375M] happy while sequestering scads of extra CO2 and reduce global warming! don't even have to pump it... as it will gravity flow!
              Cheers!

Pretty selective memory there AF5. You think there is no cult of personality on the right wing? I would argue it is just as prevalent. You only have to look south of the border at the Trump cult. It is so powerful that it led to the Jan 6 attack on the capital, the Michigan attack, and more than half of the right wing voters do not even believe in the last election results. Ronald Regan was put on a pedestal even though history shows his economic policies did not meet the hype then or now. Sarah Palin, Boebert, MJ Greene, Putin in Russia, Modi in India, Ford in Ontario, and history is littered with right wing populist fascists including Hitler, Musolini, etc.

As I was saying, about your obsession with the cult of personality as opposed to policies. So you have presented the leader of the German National Socialist Party and member of the Italian Socialist Party as examples to prove my point, thank you. And for bunus points, you managed to lump them all together with Donald Trump.
The majority of people I know from both sides of the border who supported Trump did so in spite of his personality, not because of it. They supported his policies while abhoring the person behind them. And in the end, I can't think of anything about his adminitration that could be considered right wing in retrospect. Certainly not his social policies, nothing fiscally conservative about the spending.
Are there some crazies on the right end of the spectrum who thought he was their saviour and last hope, absolutely, but judging by the ongoing lack of action since Jan 6, vs the 4 straight years of riots and protests by the other side, I'm going to suggest they are far outnumbered and out-crazied by the other extreme.

Well that is the best 2 step shuffle I have read in a long time. You argue that Hitler had to be a Socialist because he led the National Socialist Party in German but then turn around and claim than even though Trump was the leader of the Republican party (conservative), he really shouldn't be considered a Republican (conservative). Wow! Party names do not define policy or belief. They are a name only. Or do you believe that North Korea is a democracy? After all, the official name of North Korea is Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

That is the trouble with right wing types, always trying to label people and unless someone fits perfectly into your own preconceived stereotype, then they have to be liberal or socialist or communist. Proven by your trying to claim Hitler was socialist. He hated socialists and the move to socialism in Europe today resulted after WW2 and was a result of the rebuilding after the fascism of Hitler et al. Hell, most people on this forum could not agree on the definition of Conservative, much less fit into the stereotypical mold; be it on economic or social policy. If free trade is one gold standard for Conservatism, I bet there are more "right wingers" on here who believe there should be less importing of goods into Canada, opposite of traditional free market Conservatism.

I wouldnt worry too much about keystone XL. In a few yrs people are going to be crying for it when oil hits $200 a bbl. Its built to Empress so its in a nice location to launch another cross country or cross continent project when reality hits.

Its going to be a glorious oil super cycle and Kenny can ride it to Lougheed heights if he grabs the bull now.

In my opinion, it doesn’t matter what political stripe you fallow. Every political party has used extreme words to describe another party when they were not warranted at some point.

To say that only right wing parties are guilty would be wrong.

Well if furrow is right and Alberta is following Texas, I wonder when Kenney will have to make this announcement that the Texas governor made yesterday.

Governor Abbott Takes Action To Mitigate Rise In COVID-19 Cases In Texas
                          August 9, 2021 | Austin, Texas | Press Release

Governor Greg Abbott today announced a series of actions the State of Texas is taking to mitigate the recent rise in COVID-19 cases in Texas. The Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) will be utilizing staffing agencies to provide medical personnel from out-of-state to Texas health care facilities to assist in COVID-19 operations. The Governor has also sent a letter to the Texas Hospital Association asking hospitals to voluntarily postpone elective medical procedures, for which a delay will not result in loss of life or the deterioration of a patient's condition, in order to increase hospital capacity for COVID-19 patients.

Governor Abbott is directing the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) and DSHS to open additional COVID-19 antibody infusion centers in communities across the state. These infusion centers will treat COVID-19 patients who do not need hospitalization with the****utic drugs that can prevent their condition from worsening and requiring hospital care. These centers also help increase bed capacity in hospitals so that resources are available for the most ill patients. The existing infusion center in Lubbock will expand capacity this week, and DSHS will launch five new centers throughout Texas beginning with a facility in San Antonio tomorrow. The State deployed similar measures in early 2021 to communities across Texas. Patients must meet certain criteria and have a referral from a doctor.

The Governor is also directing TDEM and DSHS to increase vaccination availability across the state and encourages all Texans to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Texans can visit covidvaccine.texas.gov to find a provider near them. Texans can also utilize TDEM's State Mobile Vaccine Program by calling 844-90-TEXAS and selecting Option 3 to schedule a mobile vaccine clinic to vaccinate groups of of friends, families, employees, volunteers, and more. Homebound Texans can also call 844-90-TEXAS and choose Option 1 to request a mobile vaccine team to come to their home.

"The State of Texas is taking action to combat the recent rise in COVID-19 cases and ensure that our hospitals and communities have the resources and support they need to mitigate the virus," said Governor Abbott. "Texans can help bolster our efforts by getting vaccinated against COVID-19. The COVID-19 vaccine is safe and effective, and it is our best defense against this virus. Texans can visit covidvaccine.texas.gov to find a COVID-19 vaccine provider near them."
