Thanks for the 3/4" here SE of Estevan Ma nature. Sorry about those awful things I said about you earlier! This will germinate the other half of my canola that was sitting in dry soil. Rain down another 3/4" tonite please.

Radar look very very thin at the moment
And their track record since April 1 is near zero here

Thankful if I miss tomorrow’s rain. About 20 mm forecast.
Would much rather have 25 degrees in the bright sunshine!

Canola in big trouble even with this rain if it happens in a big area .
Lots frost damaged
Lots in dry dirt
Lots sprouted the died
Rain will help but a lot of damage already done
Hope for the best

Worst thing we did this year was go from 3/4†deep seeded canola to 1†deep. Some came up, some dried out, and some died. Now with rain forecasted that 1/4†woulda been the difference of a uniform thick crop vs a mess. Either way SCIC will be out next week to get their stamp of approval. If choice is an option I’ll likely do a half section.Originally posted by furrowtickler View PostCanola in big trouble even with this rain if it happens in a big area .

Over her NW of Maple Creek where we live , we are at about 1.4 inches of moisture ! wet snow and rain has been a godsend. Lots of crop previous to this moisture was going into some pretty dry dirt. hopefully there will be more coming because you don't get a bin buster with 2 inches of moisture.
