    new Smart Seeder Max-S,

    Anyone seen one in action?

I seen them at farm shows...but now the question why the tax breaks to the Clean Seed ? Seems not everyone walking down the street needs one but to get a farmer to buy one needs incentives.

My guess is they eventually get bought out by a big manufacturer for the technology.

I think they changed the design from a single row of openers to a double row to allow better trash clearance. Not sure of that .

The colours would match a guy using the new Claas combines????? Maybe that's the big guy they are chasing???

I don’t know what to make of this outfit. Interesting concept with seed singularization and the ability to meter 5 different products variably. Most revolutionary designs in seeding tech has emerged from farm shops and small prairie manufacturers. This is more a top down structure. Heck the outfit is bc based. They’ve been milking govt grants and ipo’s. Not that it’s wrong but different from the norm. I think you’re right bucket, they’re building up a product to sell out to a bigger outfit. At present I don’t think the drill is really marketable yet. The patented technology that’s in it will have a market in the future. Some of the smaller box style drills aimed at Africa, Asia, and Europe look a lot more promising in my opinion. They’re a simple easy to set and fix unit which could allow a lot of smallholder farms to get into conservation farming. Who knows what their endgame is but it sure isn’t manufacturing and marketing themselves.

Colin Rosengren on the Combine Forum has been working on this unit for quite a few years. Looks like it is coming along nicely!

Couldn't help but notice that one of the BTO's on youtube still ( hand cranks ) his 80 ft. almost new 1300 bu tank with midrow to check for plugs. Just like me with my old 1820 JD unit. Guess I am not the only one that doesn't trust blockage monitors. Now are we the ones that will trust the robots when left all alone ?
