Had a SX275. We had problems with the booms. Over time they didn't want to rack up for transport. The turnbuckles at the back didn't have enough adjustment to compensate for wear. We bought it new and sold it at about 1200hrs. The engine meter kept going blank no readout. Zero support from Versatile. Somewhat gutless in the hills. It was good on fuel though. I was glad to see it go.
We had a SX275, numerous problems with the boom and electronics. Traded it in for a SX280, greatly improved. The cab is significantly larger and the control layout is better, the boom is a new design and we haven’t had issues with it. Good on fuel and lighter than other sp sprayers, but I’m not in hilly country either. We have a good local dealer too so parts and support are readily available if we need it. Purchase price new was significantly less than other brands also.
