We were on a short cruise out of New Orleans and met many Brits on there. They told us they had just come off a six-month cruise and soon as they got back to wherever, they were getting on another one. One old guy who hung with us said cruising is cheaper than a nursing home and a lot more fun. I haven’t checked into that angle.

Wife says she is not going back to floating petri dish. We have enjoyed many cruises and never had a problem. Missed last years mess by 3 mos.

So much to see in this world. I rather rent a car when arriving drive around to various locations of interest and meet the local people. That's how we travel, and we've been to many countries throughout the world.

We find that the knowledge you come back with is immense and to me that's what travelling is about, learning and seeing.

Cruises are fine if your big into eating and drinking I guess. Don't get me wrong I like both of those. I got worms in my ass and just can't sit still unfortunately so a cruise doesn't interest me and the best half. I'm sure you meet a lot of interesting people on the cruise.

            To each their of coarse.

The cruise line we sail on is older clientle, not much drinking or partying. Its a very port intensive itinerary line. We are off the ship early at every port and back on in evening for a nice meal, some good entertainment and hit the hay.Have been to more than 50 countries, many several times, enjoyed all of them.Cant wait to get back on a ship, but if not will do land holiday.Looks like prices are on the rise, prob need to book sooner than later.

That a long list of travel plans from farmers who often give the impression they are going broke because things are so bad. LOL

Depending on how well the vaccines prevent the covid variants from re infecting, it might be premature to be booking firm travel dates.

The variants are taking over and as Ontario is finding out they can quickly overwhelm the hospitals.

Yea it will be nice to go to our southern home again. Head to the Gulf and have some fun. Yea some people just don't get what fun is from their basement or maybe no heat when the solar panels are covered in snow.
