Has Canada shifted to digital currency?

Been hearing rumors it was included when the outdated bills were canceled, then i paid a utility bill on Saturday. Normally it gets kicked a day ahead if after 4pm or out to Monday if done on weekend, instead, it's still dated Saturday. Something has changed and nobody is talking. Wife hasnt heard anything and she works at CIBC.

No change at TD. Paid utility bill on Saturday but transaction was dated Monday February 1.

At the very most it would be a bill processing schedule change on backend servers. Nothing to do with digital currency.

Something is weird, Deposited a rather nice check from Cargill, and the teller said the computer doesn't like the Cargill checks might not be in your account. so she manually deposited it. WTF.
