As a farmer, I am used to fighting weather, markets even our own stupid govt sometimes.

But I think this is something new to other businesses.

If I was a small retail business owner right now, I would scratch together whatever cash I had and move to the Okanagan and call er good.

Covid is real, it is contagious but...

Individually decide what risks you are willing to take... if your a doctor and don’t want to treat the sick then change your career - be a dog catcher oh wait dogs can transmit Covid.

If you want to assure your safety - retreat to your basement and never see the light of day ever again problem solved.

I personally will continue doing what I need to do, take reasonable precautions I deem necessary and hope I do not catch Covid.

Avoiding all things potentially Covid related would kill me... I needed a part to repair my furnace, I took the risk and headed out to get the part...

Am I jumping on a plane to fly to China to sight see - nope not a chance. Is someone doing that maybe - their choice.

I am not willing to have others tell me what I can do, so I can not expect to tell others what to do...

I opened myself up to whole array of debatable situations here - don’t expect me to waste much time debating a bunch of idiotic ideals.

For example no you can not drink and drive, no murder is not permitted, no you can not steal, no you should not be allowed to sell drugs etc... completely different situations than visiting family in their home.

So playing Devil's Advocate, if everything was wide open, travel, etc. Complete open borders. What would be the suggestion by everyone to handle the collapse of the healthcare system?

Move all the people over 65 with severe COVID complications into gas chambers? Would free up a lot of long-term care spaces I suppose. Wouldn't have to worry about a glut of boomers draining the CPP and Old Age.

Let people use their own brains and if you are vulnerable isolate your self. Ther is no doubt that it can be dangerous but we are going to pay a really high price to get passed this and they have new coronavirruses on the shelf to keep us scared for the foresseeable future. Like England strain south africa strain etc. What is picular is that they can name the countries now, but you can't say China corona!!! WAKE UP!!!

The reality is the anti mask rally's and the businesses opening up against restrictions, just makes the other side of the equation want stronger penalties and more rules as they feel the current ones no longer work. Completely backwards from the organizers intentions.

We got a gym here that was very popular in our town, almost a social club. They opened up last week and got shut down by AHS. I really think it will cost them business long term because they lost the trust and confidence of the rule following side.

Good example of the reset that has been happening.
What is totaly unacceptable today can't suddenly go back to what we found normal before.
A portion of the population now believe thier duty is to protect us from doom by phoning in anything they themselves fear. Like an out of province plate or someone who forgot thier mask.
