Actually, that is the last thing you want to do.
This graph is precisely the reason why Canada is targetted by the UN as the prime source for wealth transfers, and why our PM gleefully volunteers us to fill this role.
It is obviously unfair that we have spent a few short centuries working hard, hewing wood and drawing water in an inhospitable land and climate,( inviting nearly anyone from anywhere else willing to come and join in the hard work), while those on the recieving end of this redistribution have been busy with religious and tribal warfare, eschewing progress, embracing stealing the assets and profits of anyone daring to invest in bettering their society, all in the name of socialism, and generally playing the victim card.

Switzerland has a huge Chemical and Pharmaceutical industry. Also a Precious metals industry. It is the largest trader of gold in the world.

As far as clocks and watches go, 22B of exports is nothing to sneeze at. Canada might do 6B of wheat this year...

Wonder why our ancestors came north from New York in late 17oo’s, prolly French Revolution. Just think, our ancestors could have headed down to Nebraska or Kansas. They say we are just a droplet in time, that our existence is irrelevant, but look at the difference one right turn, one left turn makes to generations.

I mentioned to my Swiss Neighbour this am about the high net worth. He says there is virtually no homeless / poor people and also not too many super rich people in Switzerland. Said hes not suprised but thinks more people are on the same level there than here. 2 of his adult children have moved back and have had real good employment options. Somewhat more left leaning economic system than Canada also.

If oil counted, Venezuelan and Saudi would make the cut most likely. There are quite a few gaps and missing countries IMO.

You cant have a bunch of oil and destroyed society like Venezuela and expect to to make that list. Same with Saudi, mostly a single export country. Norway produces a lot of oil, but they dont have a lot of oil like Canada.

The oil sands are a proven resource, no guessing whats going on a couple miles down. Everything is 50 m from the surface. Same with a resource like Potash. Other resources like uranium, forests, farmland, water, hydro, a functioning equities market etc. Look at the infrastructure we have linking what we do. Look at the highways and grid roads we have. What is CP and CN worth in todays dollars?

Net worth can be tied to inflation as well.

Where did you get the list and what do the numbers represent?

Has nothing to do with GDP PPP.

Not related to GDP PPP simply a net worth snap shot.

National net wealth, also known as national net worth, is the total sum of the value of a nation's assets minus its liabilities. It refers to the total value of net wealth possessed by the citizens of a nation at a set point in time. This figure is an important indicator of a nation's ability to take on debt and sustain spending and is influenced not only by real estate prices, equity market prices, exchange rates, liabilities and incidence in a country of the adult population, but also human resources, natural resources and capital and technological advancements, which may create new assets or render others worthless in the future.
