    The auction took place in Minneapolis, Minn. on Dec. 18

    Four of the top five selling pieces of equipment during a recent Ritchie Bros. auction in Minneapolis, Minn. were combines.

    A 2019 John Deere S780 RWA combine with 348 engine hours and 224 separator hours sold for US$355,000 (CAD$452,991).

    I did a rough estimate on what the JD S780 RWD with Integrated Starfire and Autotrack, cost new.... about $650K CDN... which means it cost perhaps $200,000 for 224 thrashing hrs...almost $900/hr...Depreciation...

    The new X9 1000 @ $900,000 WILL cost $1,500/hr depreciation if we are lucky?

    Back in the day...

    I recall putting 432hrs on a new 8820 in one year... 8ac/hr... $6,300 to trade to new... minus 8% ITC... [Intrest free for a year and $20/hr for over 300hrs] Burned half the fuel at 1/10th the price...

      Tom that's a 3-year-old combine that the guy didn't pay 650 in 2019.

        Rumour is new 2021 s790’s are getting sold for $550k. Coming to a Pattison near you....Trying to keep what little market share they have left...
