What % of your canola crop is left to sell?

We did a sale today early so now we’re at 50%.

This sale got our average back up now the next is off the July.

    I have a number I want it’s a 18 basis.

So again what level of canola are most farmers at for sales of 2020 crop.

Remember the expert last summer who bullshitted ever farmer and said it was a massive crop.

Or our prov ag minister that said the biggest ever or top two.

Or the dumb farmer that said after a extensive crop tour it was a average at best.

        This isn’t over.

Some are 70 or higher % sold and they grow lots

Less than 5% left. Canola at 13.45 is strong motivation for us.

$14 canola is still way behind keeping pace with any other expense and tax increases! The last couple years (Meng) of flat canola prices has convinced many to sell on any increase. (Sadly).

Or if your tied into a grain buyer you have deadlines that come quick around and they are holding the cards.

It just pisses me off all summer our sask ag minister was spouting largest crop ever or top two or three then the numbers come out and oh the bins are empty. Wonder why.

Shouldn't we be saying bins are all empty?

0% sold, broker is looking for $700 for canola and 45 for soyoil and I’m agreeing with him. Hopefully we’re just getting started.Click image for larger version

Might be 48% of farmer's stocks delivered. The amount sold is a lot more....
