What is becoming completely amazing is how unsustainable bullshit is so completely acceptable.

AND WHEN SOME ACTUAL VIABLE (proven workable) Carbon Neutral alternatives are put forward; there is little evidence that it is even read or commented on by more than one person.

I suggest starting with the low hanging fruit that has been largely scorned and discarded through venting and flaring by the oil industry; the regulators and the consumers themselves. With a potential efficiency of energy use approaching 100% (called cogeneration which is truly worthy of some actual human thought); it becomes a no brainer for everyone to support putting wasted byproducts to full use.

And it does take support to get workable good ideas into common usage. That's how benefits and progress comes to those who remain largely ungrateful; continued deniers and self centered individualists

[I]This is a cut and paste from the SaskPower website (Jan/2020) press release of the approved Carbon Neutral projects for this year. ie. for Flare gas Projects greater that 100 KW boiler plate rating which is not to be confused with solar and wind projects which can never hope for actual output of 15% for solar and about 30% for ideally situatedprojects and real world conditions.[I]

        At a glance

The PGPP allows customers to develop power generation projects to sell electricity to SaskPower
11 renewable and 12 carbon-neutral projects have been approved for the second year of the program

Oneoff, Lack of responses to your comments on my part only indicates that there is nothing to argue about.

I've been arguing for years, since nat gas became nearly free at the well head that this is where we should be concentrating our efforts. Glad you took the initiative and made it happen.

And if they can call burning wood chips carbon neutral, after harvesting, hauling, chopping, drying, then shipping to another continent, then surely burning waste gas at the source is even more carbon neutral.

But, as usual, these folks aren't looking for workable solutions, as indicated once again.

Sask power is indeed installing more gas fired plants to phase out coal and provide a more flexible baseload along with lots of wind and some solar plus imports of hydro. So Sask Power is on track to cut carbon emissions.

Cogeneration and efficiency gains are also important.

the problem right from day one was that the libtards went after the traditional forms of energy , said they were gonna shitcan them , and that these pipe dreams would replace gas and oil
no one gives a shit if they wanna play with their wind power/solar power toys , who knows , maybe someone will stumble onto something that actually works. just don't bullshit us that this crap will replace oil and gas
maybe they can get their heads out of their asses and start installing nuclear also , it works ???????

So if you have done your homework, I assume you can tell us the full life cycle CO2 footprint of this installation? Considering that this will never produce one iota of electricity, only consume with every charge/recharge cycle.
