I was digging in canola stubble yesterday. Scratch the surface, moisture is right there like spring. Dig deeper and make a ball easily. We live in a bizarre few square miles.

20 miles apart and bone dry here, sloughs gone, even weeds all died after swathing, subsoil must be EMPTY. light rain ATM, need some just to get cultivator in ground and not burn off spikes in 200 acres.

Last night the forecast was for 3.5 inches starting this coming Sunday till Wednesday, rain on 4 different days.
This morning not a mm in the forecast for the next 14 days !

Man the WN gets me every time. You think if your model is showing 3in of rain 7 days out there must be a real system tracking your way or something. Nope, all just fairy dust.
