Ya think maybe, just maybe this could add a couple tenths to the soil moisture bank?

So desperate I'd be happy with that, but we need a big one.

20 miles apart and bone dry here, sloughs gone, even weeds all died after swathing, subsoil must be EMPTY. light rain ATM, need some just to get cultivator in ground and not burn off spikes in 200 acres.

WN talking inches. I'm talking tenths. Course this is Wx. No one knows

Last night the forecast was for 3.5 inches starting this coming Sunday till Wednesday, rain on 4 different days.
This morning not a mm in the forecast for the next 14 days !

Yet these people still have a job today.

Man the WN gets me every time. You think if your model is showing 3in of rain 7 days out there must be a real system tracking your way or something. Nope, all just fairy dust.

But I love the climate change and covid stories.

Agreed spend more time and money if necessary in actually telling us what the weather forecast is accurately rather than all the side shows.

All I want is for them to add a confidence level to their forecast. Or better yet, a range of outcomes with a probability of each. And access to look back at old forecasts with a scorecard of how close they were. Of course, that would expose the 14 day as being completely useless.

Since the thread is about rain, have you still been getting favorable harvest weather in your area?

Has been great harvest weather until yesterday, drizzled most of the afternoon, then rained hard in the evening. Looks dry from here on out though.
                              Actually combining dry grain.
