Why do we have to be against building everything and anything? Sad.
How did the can do attitude disappear completely in just 70 years?
Realistic or not, most here have cancelled it before it starts.
    Frick, I need a break.

Absolutely why were people against rail when it was an ndp idea but for it now when it’s a trump idea?

Trump needs the Alaska vote for his judicial pick for the steal of the election. He has proven to not be able to negotiate anything with anyone so this will never happen with him there.
He had 4 years to do this on the edge of election he throws this out.

😂 Your TDS is getting bad.
Trump and Republicans already has the Alaska vote, approving this railway is something both senators from Alaska, Alaska residents and Trump all approve.
Hopefully lots of Liberals freak out when he cleans up the Supreme Court.

When buying the land, easements, etc it should be 1/4 mile wide to allow for a highway, pipelines, power lines , oh ya the rail line, maybe double tracked (one in and one back out?) fibre optic lines(communication) etc, the elusive energy corridor

The same situation is here in Europe. Everybody complains about Deutsche Bahn ag, but I don't really get why. I know that trains are not always on time, but that's not the worst thing in the world. Rail lines are so overcrowded that they can't face such a flow of passengers. During rush hour, the number of trains that may move through stations on existing infrastructure is limited; that's why there are so many delays in peak hours. However, they've improved their services lately. You can always check the timetables in real-time on https://www.dbauskunft.net/de/ https://www.dbauskunft.net/de/ and even book online tickets. They're working on their client approach, but you know, it's tough to manage such a huge company.
