    South American Soybean Futures Contract

    The CME group is launching a South American soybean contract on Sept 21st. Contract size is; 136 MT.

    Months to trade; Jan/Feb/Mar May/Jul/Aug/Sep/Nov

    Prices based FOB Santos, Brazil

    South American bean production now dwarfs that of North America. Suspect this contract may gain traction for global price discovery fairly quickly.

              If it’s liquid enough you would think ample volatility, spec guys should flock to it if massive moves at times.

              That’s in the context of it being South American wild changes in yields, reports and weather.

              All make for good exchange.
